Description

We are one of the leading companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms.

We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 20 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources. Our business is based on producing, distributing and trading energy and related products in Northern Europe. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom.

We are looking for a HR Business Partner (Renewables & Power) for our People & Development team to be based in our London office in Belgravia.  The purpose of this role is to build collaborative business partnerships with key stakeholders that support the process of aligning HR strategy with business strategy and to ensure the delivery of an HR Service that adds measurable value to the customers for the benefit of the business.

Areas of responsibility

You will actively engage internal customers to build strong business partnerships, understanding the businesses objectives, challenges and areas for development.

You will pro-actively support the implementation of DONG Energy’s People & Development Strategy so that it can be integrated into the business functions to add value.

You will provide support and challenge to managers to help them reach complex decisions on all aspects of people management.

You will partner line managers to lead and facilitate change within the business and to help continually develop the businesses capacity for change.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • Co-operate closely with the UK Compensation & Benefit consultant in matters of terms and conditions for Renewables and Power staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider P&D team, both in the UK and in Denmark, to use their expertise to help develop solutions that will support the business in achieving their objectives.
  • Drive the successful implementation of new P&D initiatives to ensure that they meet the needs of the business and that managers have a full understanding of how they operate and the value they can bring.
  • Assist the UK P&D Manager in managing, developing, integrating and evaluating appropriate P&D policies, which support the business objectives.
  • Develop and deliver in-house training programmes for managers – including courses for Danish Managers managing UK employees.
  • Work closely with the UK Recruitment Specialist and support them in recruiting staff into the renewables business unit.

Your Profile

  • It is essential that you have experience working in an international environment.
  • You will be degree qualified and also be CIPD qualified or have a similar accredited professional qualification.
  • You will demonstrate a thorough working knowledge and understanding of all generalist HR activities, the value they can deliver and how to integrate them into a corporate environment, including: ER, L&D, Talent Management, OD, Reward and Recruitment.
  • An ability to deliver strategically aligned and practical HR solutions is essential.
  • You will be an excellent communicator with strong relationship building skills who can build a key network of contacts internally and externally.
  • You will have personal credibility and an ability to influence key stakeholders across the customer base and throughout the organisation.

We offer

A unique and challenging job in an international energy company where you will be inspired by responsibility rather than by rules. We offer substantial freedom with responsibility and good opportunities to develop new competences and pursue a career within a large international organisation which is experiencing considerable growth in the UK.

You will receive a competitive salary and enjoy an informal and attractive working environment. We have an active employee policy, which supports your career throughout the various phases of your working life.
