Outdoor Learning Officer

The purpose of this post is to get Scottish children outdoors regularly to enjoy and learn in the natural environment. You will do this by equipping teachers to make regular and effective use of the outdoors. You will develop and deliver high quality CPD programmes based on active, reflective and collaborative approaches that focus on the use of school grounds and areas of greenspace that are readily accessible to schools.

You will join a committed, creative and energetic team who have gained respect in Scottish education for the quality and impact of our work. We can offer some flexibility of working hours and home working arrangements and would be interested in exploring secondment opportunities for teachers.

You will need an understanding of and commitment to the value of outdoor learning in young people’s development and a proven track record of training and supporting teachers. You will be an excellent team player, energetic, committed, self-motivated and able to build rapport with and motivate others.
