9th - 11th September residential course
This course is a comprehensive introduction to the natural history and ecology of otters and their interactions with other species, including naturalised introductions such as American mink.
It also covers riverside survey techniques with special reference to identifying otter activity, how to evaluate field evidence and the requirements for creating and maintaining habitats to ensure the effective conservation of wild and re-introduced populations.
It is equally suitable for anyone with a general interest in natural history and those who have a professional interest in otters as a BAP (Biodiversity Action Plan) species.
