Job Description:
 
As a Wildlife Biologist you will be responsible for conducting mortality searches, field and wetland surveys, water sampling, preconstruction surveys and provide environmental awarenss training and environmental compliance monitoring.  
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Avian mortality searches.
  • Conduct preconstruction surveys for nesting birds.
  • Provide environmental awareness to construction personnel.

Qualifications

 
Basic Qualifications: 
  • Must have B.S. degree in Biology or related fields.
  • Must have 1+ years of experience as a wildlife biologist.
  • Must have the ability to work in all weather conditions and walk varied terrain.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience as a wildlife biologist.
  • Demonstrate the ability to visually identify birds of Northern California.
  • Blunt nose leopard lizard survey experience preferred.
  • Past wildlife biology experience in California. 
  • Strong knowledge and usage of various GPS devices.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
