Description

Would you like to join a team of highly skilled employees working with installation of offshore wind farms?

Join us and become Offshore Logistics Manager in one of the leading energy companies in Europe within the fields of developing, constructing and operating offshore wind farms. We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and over 20 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources. We intend to reduce the CO2 emission from power production by 50 per cent in 2020 and by 85 per cent in 2040, which will require significant investments in renewable energy sources like offshore wind farms.

Together with 30 other committed and enthusiastic colleagues, you will be part of REN Offshore Management which is the offshore logistics, installation and maritime competence centre in the company. The department is responsible for the installation of foundations, erection of turbines, laying of cables and construction of substations, including chartering of installation vessels and crew vessels during the construction phase and the O&M phases.

You will be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or at our office in Gentofte near Copenhagen. You may choose freely between the two options. You should expect some travels to our sites in Denmark and abroad, and you should also be willing to work on site in periods during the project execution phase.

Areas of responsibility

You will support the individual offshore wind farm project teams, and your primary tasks will be to ensure safe and efficient sea transport of components for the offshore wind farms.

You will proactively ensure that component transport is carried out based on balanced contracts and optimised with respect to time, costs and QHSE, including negotiation and recommendation of transport contracts.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • manage transport contracts and coordinate with overall time schedule and site activities
  • prepare and review method statements and risk assessments as applicable
  • assist with development and implementation of optimised sea fastening design for heavy components
  • coordinate with the Marine Warranty Surveyor
  • assist with harbour surveys and evaluations.

You will be in charge of chartering of component transport vessels, and you will play an essential role in the development of more weather robust equipment and improved transport methods combined with optimised construction concepts.

Your profile

You will have a suitable educational background as an engineer or vast experience with heavy-lift transport. Additionally, you will have some years of experience within the fields of heavy-lift transport and vessel coordination and performance, preferably from offshore construction or wind projects. Furthermore, you will have good knowledge of FIDIC and BIMCO.

Our projects bring together various employee groups, cultures and authorities, and during periods the atmosphere may be very hectic. It is thus essential that you have excellent communication skills and speak and write English fluently.

You will thrive in an international environment and can handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing perspective. You will be able to create results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external business partners.

We offer

You will participate in the implementation and development of sustainable energy solutions. The construction of offshore wind farms is an interesting and challenging job comprising multiple disciplines and is far from being any standard project. You will have excellent opportunities to develop new competences and pursue a career in a large international organisation.

You will have a competitive salary and an informal and attractive working environment. We have an active employee policy, which supports your career throughout the various phases of your working life.
