Mid Week Volunteer

The Mid week volunteer team need new volunteers to assist with the ongoing conservation projects being carried out by The Conservation Volunteers in Wakefield. We run task days every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday across Wakefield, Kirklees and Barnsley.

No previous expereince necessary just a willingness and enthusiasm to work outdoors. Tasks that the mid week team have carried out recently include orchard restoration, constructing raised beds and planters for local community groups, protected heathland management, footpath restoration & construction and tree planting. A trained leader will be on site to provide supervision and guidance on the conservation project. All tools and protective equipment are provided along with light refreshments.

We have a pick up from Wakefield and Dewsbury every task day.
