The Hydrocarbon Processing Group (HPG) at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking mechanical or chemical engineers or sciences majors to contribute to projects related to micro-scale heat and mass transport. This summer internship position is located at the Microproducts Breakthrough Institute, a joint institute between PNNL and Oregon State University, located in Corvallis, Oregon. The candidate will be expected to team with engineers, technicians, and crafts to contribute to ongoing projects. Candidates will be involved in a variety of activities that includes hardware design, and experimental work. Experimental work involves design and assembly of test systems, system troubleshooting, executing testing, and data reduction/analysis.


Candidates must be degree-seeking students enrolled at an accredited college or university.  Candidates must be taking at least 6 credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.5.  All staff at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory must be able to demonstrate the legal right to work in the United States.
