| | The Joint Global Change Research Institute (JGCRI) at the University of Maryland, College Park, seeks one or more energy / economic researcher / analyst to join an interdisciplinary team conducting research on options for addressing climate change. Research areas include the economic implications of potential domestic and international climate policies, technology strategy for climate change, uncertainty and climate, agriculture and land use, impacts, and options for adaptation. It is expected that a successful candidate will become a leader in one or several research areas. JCGRI's research program includes computer-based, "integrated assessment" modeling systems that combine economic models of the drivers of greenhouse gas emissions, including detailed models of energy and agricultural systems, with models of the Earth system response. Researchers will work in a highly team-oriented environment to continue the development of JGCRI's modeling tools, conduct research and analysis, interact with government and private decision-makers, and publish in peer-reviewed journals. Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
