You must have a degree or equivalent, and a higher degree is very desirable. You must have relevant postgraduate research experience, ideally in the field of marine bioacoustics / noise impact studies and an enthusiasm for research. You must also have good organisational and oral communication skills and a record of publication in the form of peer reviewed papers or reports. Experience in field research and experimental studies dealing with the effects of underwater noise is a clear asset to any application. Since some of the methods we apply deal with spatial analysis of noise disturbance, GIS experience would be a further asset to the post.
