Donations from people are the lifeblood of Greenpeace all around the world. Our campaigns are wholly funded by the generosity of our supporters because we do not take donations from companies or governments. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated Major Donor Fundraiser who can help us grow our small successful major gifts programme in the UK.

This is a new role that has arisen following a successful period of growth in our major gift programme. It comes with an opportunity to make a significant impact on the organisation and its mission for a green and peaceful future.

For the last three years we have been stewarding and upgrading a small group of major donors, and identifying new prospective major donors. The potential within the group is clear and ready for cultivation, offering a skilled and motivated fundraiser an amazing opportunity to join a passionate team and deliver growth for a well-known organisation with ambitious goals around the world.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our Major Donor Fundraiser must be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic and a confident person who is passionate and confident about asking for large sums of money to protect our planet, and you must be comfortable working with programme staff at all levels.

We require someone who has demonstrable experience in making successful face-to-face asks to individual donors, and also has excellent skills in managing the ongoing stewardship of donors.

This person will be managed by our High Value Fundraising Manager and will be responsible for cultivating new relationships, account managing a portfolio of donors, as well as preparing proposals and managing events. The role needs to ensure that as the major gift programme develops it remains rooted in our organisation’s campaign priorities and wider activities.
