Full-time, 37 hours per week

Central Bedfordshire Council manages a significant corporate estate, including but not limited to Leisure Centre’s, Libraries, Offices and Day Centre’s. An exciting opportunity is available to assist the Councils Engineering function to develop and maintain the corporate estate in line with council priorities.
 
Located within the Capital Projects Team within the Assets department but working with colleagues and partners across the council and externally, this unique and challenging post will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop and implement energy and sustainable designs using a combination of research, project experience, building knowledge and thermal modelling to provide environmental solutions for buildings.
 
Educated to degree level in a relevant field you will have recent experience in a carbon reduction or Mechanical Engineering role. Your previous experience will be important, as will your enthusiasm and commitment to the delivery of improvements to the corporate estate seeking innovation where possible.
