Pembrokeshire offers excellent maritime habitats for participants to explore, from rocky coasts to ancient woodlands. These contain rich lichen communities with many common and some nationally rare species.
Daily field excursions are followed up with evening sessions when you can take the opportunity to investigate the characteristics of key species with the aid of an easy-to-use handbook and microscopes at Orielton. The handbook will be provided for participants before the course. Beginners are welcome and will be supported to understand more about this extraordinary group of fungi with a symbiotic life style.
