ecologia Environment is a leading environmental consultancy firm providing biological science and environmental management services to the private & public sectors. Established in 1989 the company has an extensive & diverse blue chip clientele throughout Western Australia with participation in many major resource development and mining projects. 

Based in Perth ecologia conducts botanical studies throughout WA and has a significant in-house team of highly experienced professional Botanists. This vacancy represents a major opportunity to advance your career experience working within an industry leading biological sciences team that has high credibility with both industry and regulators. 

The role requires a botanist with minimum of 2 years working experience and tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science or related field is essential. Scope exists for a more senior role in the organization dependent on the level of experience. The suitable candidate will have experience in:
 
  • Botanical field surveys;
  • Vegetation mapping;
  • Rare flora management;
  • Botanical data analysis; and
  • Reporting to meet government standards
 
In addition to your technical skills you are, hardworking, results focused, have excellent organisation skills and a high level of literacy. Skills in taxonomic identification are highly desirable.  The ability to work effectively in a team of peers is a prerequisite.
