Salary Range: £21,570.00 – £29,715.00 pro rata per annum (salary is dependent on level of qualification and experience)

 

Contract Type: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) / Part-Time

 

Hours: 22 hours per week

 

South Gloucestershire and Stroud College are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated professional to provide maternity cover in their Animal Management and Conservation Department’s Higher Education team.

 

FdSc Zoological Management programme is in its second year and are looking for an experienced lecturer to support the delivery and its development. The role will be based at our Clifton Campus which sits within Bristol Zoo Garden’s Conservation Education Centre. We work closely with zoo staff to deliver a programme that is focussed heavily on the management and conservation of zoological collections.

 

To be suitable for this role you must have experience in lecturing and developing teaching material as well as relevant industry or field experience within the subject area. Specialist knowledge and industry links are essential for delivery to ensure the programme remains embedded within the industry and students are able to develop suitable employment skills for successful progression. You will be required to deliver at Level 4 and 5 across a variety of modules such as; Animal Biology, Taxonomy, Reproduction and Work Experience. There may also be an opportunity to teach at Level 6 on the BSc from September 2017.
