Job title: Landscape Consultant

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Rate: £21k - £24k DOE

Job Summary:

A highly regarded environmental multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a Landscape Consultant with experience of undertaking LVIA, to assist with the delivery of landscape based projects in a fast moving, client focused commercial environment.

The candidate will be joining a growing landscape team, working closely with EIA Co-ordinators and the rest of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver high quality outputs.


Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

In addition to undertaking landscape character and visual impact assessments, particularly relating to renewable energy developments, you will have the opportunity to assist in the management of projects, with an aim to deliver on time, to the client’s satisfaction and to the planned profit levels.

Qualifications / Experience:

The successful Landscape Architect will have;

  •  A Degree in a relevant discipline
  •  Experience of undertaking desk studies, research, data analysis and report writing
  •  A track record of undertaking LVIA
  •  Renewable energy project experience
  •  Proficiency in GIS/AutoCad
  •  Experience of providing input to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and planning applications
  •  An interest in the rural environment and green infrastructure
  •  Experience of liaising with internal and external deliverers, third parties and clients
  •  A full driving licence


This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly multi-disciplinary office, offering the environment to engage with a broad range of professions specialising in the rural environment, including Project Managers, EIA co-ordinators, Ecologists, Archaeologists, Land Managers and Renewable Energy Site Finders.
