6 month fixed-term contract for 3 days per week with an option to extend to 12 months commencing December 2011

Salary: £ 28,371 pro rata

Groundwork Hertfordshire is an independent environmental charity which is part of a UK-wide Federation of Trusts that build sustainable communities in areas of need. Through collaborative environmental action, we deliver regeneration projects with residents, businesses, schools and other local organisations that improve quality of life across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate and creative CMLI status landscape architect to join a busy design team working on a varied programme of projects across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex.

Demonstrable experience in the design and procurement of landscape schemes is essential. The post holder will have the opportunity to take smaller projects from initiation to completion as well as progressing larger schemes. Proficiency in AutoCAD and related software applications is essential to the post and a working knowledge of GIS is desirable. The unique Groundwork approach to environmental improvements demands excellent communication skills and experience of working with a range of partners.
