Keeper: Birds (part time)

We have a vacancy for a keeper on the Bird section. The section manages all our bird species including penguins, parrots, waterfowl, cranes and also a small range of other species. This is a key role which will involve working on the section, covering all areas of animal husbandry and includes activities which require visitor interaction. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, high performing individual with an interest in zoo animal management. You must be committed to continued professional development, be a good team worker and have strong communication skills. Some zoo keeping experience and an animal-related qualification, such as the BIAZA approved ANCMZA or DZMAA, would be advantageous.

The role is part-time basis working 10 days out of 21, working on average 28 hours per week, including weekend duties on a rota system. Salary is paid monthly and we provide uniform, 21 days holiday, 5% employer's pension contribution.
