The Kellogg Bird Sanctuary offers internships throughout the year.
Juniors, seniors and recent graduates (within one year of graduation) with a background in biology, zoology, ecology, pre-vet, fisheries & wildlife, science education and parks & rec are encouraged to apply.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

For 2011 we have made some changes to the schedule for internships.  We will be offering a short, 10 week summer experience for both Avian Care and Interpretation interns.  Our Fall and Spring Avian Interns will benefit from a 22 week experience where they will be able to be part of bigger, long term projects and more involved with the education program.Intern collage

Interpretation/Education Internship - Summer 2012 Applications due March 1, 2012

  • Develop and deliver educational and outreach programs
  • Lead educational tours
  • Develop and maintain on-site education exhibits
  • Assist with event planning and production of educational and promotional materials
  • Assist with bird counts and surveys within the area
  • Resource Center assistant, greeting patrons
  • 1 position offered, Summer (10 weeks)
