Description

The selected candidate will be placed in the REC’s Administration Department to assist with reception desk services and administration-related tasks. The intern will be based at the organisation’s head office in Szentendre, Hungary.

Main tasks

Tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing reception desk services (i.e. handling incoming and outgoing mails and calls, and managing correspondence).
  • Assisting REC staff in daily administration-related tasks, as requested.
  • Ordering lunches.
  • Ordering stationery.
  • Handling registered mail.
  • Carrying out other appropriate tasks at the tutor’s request.

Experience, knowledge and skill level required

The intern should be:

  • Interested in being involved in the activities of an international environmental organisation.
  • In possession of strong communication (spoken and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, detail-oriented and organised.
  • Proficient in English and Hungarian (spoken and written).
  • Able to keep to deadlines and handle multiple tasks in a highly professional way.
  • Able to work independently and as a team player.

Previous, relevant professional work experience is an asset.

This full-time, non-paid internship is for a fixed period of 1 month, optimally from the last week of July 2016 until August 31, 2016.  The intern will not be required to work from August 15 to August 19, during which period the REC will be closed for summer holidays.
