Internship - Social Media & PR

Carbon Trust has an opportunity within the Marketing and Communications department for an intern to work on social media and PR.  In particular the intern should have good experience with Twitter but the role will involve other types of social media.

The internship is unpaid, however; Carbon Trust will cover reasonable travel and subsistence for the duration.  While we can be reasonably flexible on start date and duration the internship is expected to last for 6 weeks from September 1st.  This is a great CV building opportunity for someone part-way through their degree/newly graduated with an interest in a subsequent career in Marketing & PR, although interested parties at all levels of experience will be considered equally.

The intern position will support the PR and Communications team in the following short projects: 

• Generating interesting data and facts from our wide ranging selection of publications to disseminate via social media
• Helping to build media lists for different purposes using database
• Helping to identify media opportunities at events where Carbon Trust spokespeople are attending
