Internship - Forward Planning

(Fixed Term – minimum 10 weeks)

Monday-Friday (37 Hours per week)

National Park Headquarters, Balloch

Salary £14,812 per annum

Are you going into your final year of an Honours Degree in Planning or a recent Planning graduate looking to gain work experience? If so, we have an exciting Internship opportunity within our Forward Planning Team that might interest you.

We are at an exciting, key stage in the preparation of our Local Development Plan having recently published our Main Issues Report for consultation. LIVE Park, our campaign to encourage involvement in the consultation, has placemaking at its heart. The Report itself is a design-led discussion-based document underpinned by a range of innovative techniques to help us engage with our communities, businesses, landowners, partner organisations and visitors. You can find out more about the work we’re doing at www.ourlivepark.com

The Internship is for a minimum of 10 weeks starting in July and will provide experience on a range of tasks as we work through the responses to the consultation and update our information on development trends in the National Park as part of our annual monitoring and survey work.

Along with your educational qualification you will also have excellent communication skills, be well organised and IT literate.  You need to be willing to pitch in on a variety of tasks and in return you will gain invaluable experience of a key stage in the preparation of Local Development Plan in this busy Planning and National Park Authority.  A driving licence is also essential.

Please visit our website for more information and application forms.  Please email completed forms torecruitment@lochlomond-trossachs.org quoting Ref: LLTNPA/May/Intern.
