Description

13/06/14 - 15/06/14

'I don't do crucifers' is a common declaration made even by experienced botanists. This large uniform family though easily recognisable is difficult when distinguishing its many look-alike species. We aim to clarify some of the tricky features used in scientific keys. The Crucifer or Cabbage family is economically important and includes many common weeds. Not a group to be ignored.

Ros Bennett is a freelance botanist and ecologist. She was formerly a full-time tutor at Flatford Mill and then organiser and leader of courses for FSC Overseas. She has written books on flowers and has taught courses on identification and ecology to all age groups.
