06/06/14 - 08/06/14 This course will concentrate on the shieldbugs (Hemiptera) and ladybirds (Coleoptera), two groups readily identified in the field but often under-recorded by field naturalists. Both groups can be identified in most of their life stages with a bit of practice and can be found in many habitats with a bit of prior ecological knowledge. We will combine classroom sessions with field trips to some of Shropshire's best sites in search of these two groups of fascinating insects. |
