Saturday 17 May This course will concentrate on the shieldbugs (Hemiptera). Shieldbugs are readily recognised in the field but are often under-recorded by field naturalists. Shield bugs can be identified in most of their life stages with a bit of practice and can be found in many habitats with a bit of prior ecological knowledge. We will combine classroom sessions with field trips to some of Shropshire's best sites in search of members of this fascinating group of insects. |
