No need to ignore grasses, sedges and rushes any more! This course caters for both the beginner bewildered by their strange structure and those needing to master identification of flowering grasses, sedges and rushes for surveying. You will learn how to use illustrated keys and synopses for identification (devised by the tutor and available on loan or for purchase at an extra cost of £2) using the wide range of habitats in Epping Forest and the Roding Valley. In addition to the keys provided the following book is recommended: Grasses by C E Hubbard 3rd Edition 1992 Penguin Books.
This course runs from 09.45 to 17.00 on both days and includes lunch at a local public house. If you have one please bring a 10x or 20x lens.
