The Ramblers is looking to recruit a skilled and experienced individual to provide:

 

Management of the Lets Walk Cymru (LWC) health walks scheme. It is Wales’s largest network of health walk schemes, helping all kinds of people to lead a more active lifestyle.

Our vision is for everyone to have access to a short, free and friendly health walk within easy reach of where they live, to help them become and stay active.

Essential Requirements include:

 

1. Recognised qualification in programme management (such as MSP) or equivalent demonstrable experience

2. Experience of working in partnership to secure and deliver project or programme objectives

3. Ability to work flexibly, to manage several activities at one time, and to resolve conflicting priorities efficiently

4. Ability to diagnose problems, provide innovative solutions and make logical, timely decisions

5. Experience in managing staff including motivating, developing and coaching individuals

6. Budget management experience, ideally in the charity sector

7. Experience of monitoring and evaluation systems and processes

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

9. Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures

10. Willing to work flexible hours – including some weekend and evening work

11. Commitment to work and values of the Ramblers
