Join us and become our Head of Operations at the Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm.

 

You will be joining one of Europe’s leading companies within the fields of developing, constructing and operating onshore and offshore wind farms. We have more than 30 years of experience in wind power, and up to 20 per cent of our power is produced from renewable resources.

Our business is based on producing, distributing and trading energy and related products in Northern Europe. We are also one of the leading developers of offshore wind projects in the United Kingdom and Germany.

 

 

Your will be based at our office in Brightlingsea, Essex near the Gunfleet Sands Offshore Wind Farm.

 


Areas of responsibility

You will direct and manage business operations activities and determine the long-term strategic objectives of the business and be responsible for growing the business.

 

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

  • be responsible for financial management, including budgeting and reporting

  • create and maintain site-based business plans maintaining a rolling 12 month scheduled activity plan and developing new site business initiatives

  • manage relationships with joint venture partners, including chairing monthly contract meetings with partners and networking with counterparts on other sites

  • be accountable for Quality Health Safety and Environment on site

  • be responsible for people management, including recruitment, succession planning and training and development.

 

Your profile

You will have a relevant educational background or equivalent, combined with significant experience in operational, engineering or utilities management.  HV knowledge will be desirable.

 

Additionally, you will have proven experience of management and leadership, including coordinating activities and resources.

 

It is essential that you have a sound knowledge of finance, technology and administration.

 

You will be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing perspective and have a calm approach to your work.

 

You will have an analytical approach to your work and excellent organisational skills. Furthermore, you will be able to create excellent results through teamwork and develop good relationships with your colleagues and external business partners.
