Head of department handling offshore wind diagnostics

Areas of responsibility
You will be responsible for developing a clear and visionary strategy with goals and objectives for the department. This department strategy should be aligned with the effort of supporting the DONG Energy strategy objective of lowering costs of energy through reduced operating life-cycle cost.

Furthermore, your key duties will be to:

• manage and prioritise department projects and day-to-day tasks
• manage the department budget, team development and recruitment to ensure a high-performing team
• monitor staff performance, including performance reviews
• determine and implement best practices in the department
• monitor and review productivity, goal progress and activity levels of all projects handled by the department.

Your profile
You will have a relevant educational background, for example a BSc or an MSc Degree in Engineering or Mathematical Statistics or Algorithms and Logic supplemented with a degree in Business Administration.

You will have prior leadership experience from a job with staff responsibility. As we are an international company and cooperate closely with our colleagues abroad, it is essential that you have strong communication skills and speak and write English fluently.

You will have a strong personal drive and be able to create consensus on a common objective. Additionally, you will be able to motivate and coach a group of skilled employees influencing them to act positively and take responsibility for their task performance. You will also delegate tasks in a confidence-inspiring way and be able to create good relationships with your colleagues and business partners.

Wind turbine experience will be considered an advantage.
