Head of Consultancy

There is a need to appoint an outstanding leader who is able to demonstrate ambition, commercial flair, creativity, intellectual depth and market insight.

This is a multi-faceted role which, as well as leading a team of outstanding professionals that is expected to grow significantly in the next few years, will require the successful candidate to represent the organisation at the highest level and shape high-profile initiatives.

You will be developing new products & services, be responsible for business development support, project delivery and team management.  Current clients include, Honda, Nissan & Sky.

Client responsibilities 

• Demonstrate excellent skills in project execution, including, project management, problem-solving, and facilitation
• Develop excellent client relationships at the appropriate client level and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with engagement process and work products
• Assist in business development activities including preparing presentations and attending pursuit meetings with clients to help sell work
• Be responsible for fostering an open and inclusive work environment

People Management responsibilities:  

• You will be managing a team of consultants supporting organisations through change and business improvement.
• Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff
• Conduct performance reviews and contribute to feedback for all levels of staff
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
• Build strong internal relationships with inter – divisional teams.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

 Strong academic record, including a degree

Essential:

• Leadership experience of people and teams along with business development experience gained from a transactions-related or professional services background.
• People and process management
• Time and task management
• Excellent communication/presentation skills, able to deal with ambiguity and complexity as well as interface with senior stakeholders
• Strong influencing skills and a positive opinion leader
• Able to deliver against demanding deadlines and key milestones
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• A clear thinker with an aptitude for detail
• Reporting and data analysis

• Professional services ‘advisory’ experience – either from within a management consultancy or corporate finance advisory firm.

Desirable:

A Knowledge of climate change issues and what individuals and their employers can do to reduce their impact on the environment
