Job Summary:
A successful ecological consultancy is looking to expand its London team through the appointment of a Habitat Ecologist. The successful habitat ecologist will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of project work including habitat, vegetation and protected species surveys as well as assisting with EcIAs.
If you have a passion for ecology and have demonstrable experience of carrying out a range of botanical surveys and working within a consultancy environment, then we’d love to hear from you.
The role:
As a Habitat Ecologist your brief will include;
- Carrying out a range of habitat and vegetation surveys.
- Undertaking Phase 1 and Phase 2 (NVC classification) surveys
- Carrying out protected species surveys and assessments.
Qualifications / Experience:
Successful Ecologists will have;
- An appropriate degree(s)
- Experience of carrying out a range of botanical surveys, including Phase 1 and NVC surveys
- Demonstrate strong plant identification skills
- Experience of undertaking ecological appraisals and providing input to EcIAs
- Full clean driving licence.
