The Grassland Bird Crew Leaders (GBCLs) will be part of a study to evaluate the role of conservation lands for grassland bird populations across Minnesota and NW Iowa, USA. Data collected will contribute to our knowledge of the influence of landscape context and habitat condition on the abundance of grassland birds. We will be hiring two GBCLs for two different 2-person crews. Start date is May 6, 2013 continuing through August 2, 2013, and housing will be provided. Primary job duties will include:
Conduct bird surveys using area search/transects methods
Collect basic habitat condition and plant community assessments
Interact with public land managers and private landowners
