About the Role
Waterman CPM is seeking to appoint a number of Landscape Architects to join our Graduate Training program. We have an exciting and diverse portfolio of landscape design, impact assessment, environmental planning and management projects throughout the UK and internationally. The successful candidates will work within our expanding multi-disciplinary team of landscape architects, ecologists and archaeologists with opportunities to develop skills as environmental planning consultants. Candidates will be expected to be able to travel to project sites and carry out or assist with landscape survey work, assist in the preparation of landscape strategies and reports and detailed hard and soft landscape design plans. You will also be expected to assist the senior team of consultants with tasks such as Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments for EIA reports and understand the EIA process. You will be encouraged to create and generate creative new ideas, concepts and graphics for the rest of the Landscape Consultancy Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to obtain experience in a busy and well respected consultancy, providing a valuable introduction to a dynamic and exciting industry.
About You
Applicants should be a student or associate member of the Landscape Institute with qualifications in Landscape Architecture or a relevant subject. Good written and graphic communication skills should be combined with technical expertise in delivering imaginative and commercially sound solutions at strategic and detailed levels. Candidates need to have an ability to develop landscape and urban design based projects, and have a strong design flare. You will need to be able to use AutoCAD. Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and other graphic applications would be a benefit. All candidates must have a full driving licence. Any previous experience involving landscape and urban design would be of distinct advantage.
