Job title: Graduate Land Quality Engineer

Rate: £18,000 - £22,000

Job Summary:

 

Our client is a leading infrastructure company specialising in the highways, water, property, waste and environmental sectors. Due to on-going expansion they are seeking to appoint a Graduate Land Quality Engineer into their Liverpool Environment team.

 

As a Graduate Land Quality Engineer you will have the opportunity to get involved in both office and site based work.  You will play a key role in assisting current team members with the management and delivery of project work, including writing sections of technical reports and designing ground investigations.

 

Qualifications / Experience:

The Graduate Land Quality Engineer will have;

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related subject (Environmental Sciences, Engineering Geology)
  • An MSc in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Geology, Contaminated Land (desirable)
  • Demonstrable understanding of the assessment and remediation of contaminated land
  • Experience of preparing reports to a high technical level on potentially contaminated sites for the private and public sector including Part 2A.
  • Awareness of theoretical understanding of human health risk assessment tools, options appraisal and remediation technologies
  • Practical experience in: conceptual models, risk assessments, soil, gas and groundwater sampling and monitoring.
  • Experience of undertaking geoenvironmental desk studies, designing, procuring & supervising Ground Investigations (including soil logging to Eurocode 7), preparing Geoenvironmental Interpretative Reports in accordance with the requirements  of current Guidance & Legislation (CIRIA C665, BS 10175, CLR11)

 

  • Awareness of and ability to use a range of geoenvironmental modelling tools including human health risk assessment analysis (e.g. CLEA) and waste classification.
  • Full UK driving licence
