Job Summary:

 

This leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Land Quality Consultant to join their team in Liverpool.

 

The purpose of this role is to help support the rapid growth of the Land Quality business, by providing contaminated land support across a variety of sectors, including regeneration, energy and water. To be successful in this role you will be dynamic and enthusiastic in undertaking your daily tasks, for which you will be rewarded by the Land Quality Team Leader with excellent career development opportunities and mentorship.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

As a Graduate Land Quality Consultant you will:

  • Undertake geo-environmental desk studies, designing, procuring and supervising ground investigations
  • Under supervision and guidance, write high quality technical reports and contribute to geo-environmental projects
  • Support the delivery of project work
  • Liaise with and support the more senior members of staff
  • Contribute to business development activities.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

As a Graduate Land Quality Consultant you will have:

  • A Degree in relevant field / sector
  • A Good understanding of Land Quality / Contaminated Land in relation to UK Planning law
  • Awareness of the theoretical understanding of human health risk assessment tools, options appraisal and remediation technologies
  • Proven experience in conceptual models, risk assessments, soil and groundwater sampling and monitoring
  • Knowledge and experience of logging soils to Eurocode 7: Part 2
  • Strong knowledge of Interpretative Reports in accordance with the requirements of current Guidance & Legislation (BS 10175, CLR111, CIRIA C665)
  • Sound awareness of GI and remediation contracts and specifications.
