The role is to provide Geotechnical and / or Geo-Environmental services and advice to new and existing clients.
This includes, but is not limited to, the design and on site management of site investigations; preparation of schedules for laboratory testing; factual and interpretative report writing and qualitative and quantitative risk assessments. Site visits for monitoring, inspections and validation work are also required.
Clients can range from major housebuilders to public bodies, municipal services providers as well as private businesses and individuals.

The Company
Our client is a multiple award-winning provider of consultancy and specialist contracting services for construction, infrastructure and the environment. With a pioneering spirit and a reputation for technical excellence, customer surveys show satisfaction levels of over 92% and staff retention is extremely high. In the top fifteen of the Times “Top 100 Best Companies to Work For” (medium sized engineering company), we have a vibrant and friendly culture and will offer you an extensive package of flexible benefits to suit your individual lifestyle and well-being.

The Person
You will be a Graduate of an Engineering Geology / Geotechnical Engineering MSc course, ideally with, or finishing, your MSc from a University recognised for the quality of its Geology / Geotechnical courses. While good academic results are important, experience is less important than attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Flexibility, adaptability, the ability to ‘think on your feet’ and the ability to work independently (although under supervision) are all essential, as are good analytical skills. The role includes working as part of integrated project teams of environmental, geo-environmental and geotechnical specialists and an understanding of related disciplines (civils, structural and remediation), will be required.

The position also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, a confident, commercial and professional outlook and the ability to develop effective and sustainable team and client relationships.

By joining a busy and growing team of staff at our office in Northampton, you will have the opportunity to influence your own development as the company expands to meet our increasing workload. This is an outstanding opportunity to start your career with a successful and highly regarded employer.
