In addition the postholder will help support the protection and biodiversity safeguard elements of BirdLife’s Important Bird Areas Programme: a programme pivotal to the delivery of BirdLife’s conservation agenda, working closely with policy staff across the organisation focused on international conservation agreements.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of, and commitment to, international biodiversity conservation.

• Degree, or equivalent experience, in a subject related to conservation or sustainable development

• Sound knowledge of renewable energy issues, Environmental Impact Assessment and Strategic Environmental Assessment.
