Global Flyways Programme Coordinator
• Location: ideally Cambridge UK, but with some flexibility
• Full time
• Open ended appointment
 
BirdLife International is the world’s largest nature conservation partnership. Through our unique local-to-global approach, we deliver high impact and long-term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.

We are looking for someone to develop and coordinate our thematic programme on migratory birds and flyways.  This person will provide leadership to the Global Flyways Programme Coordination Team, and support the planning, design and implementation of regional and multi-regional initiatives. 

The ideal candidate will have
• Extensive experience in conservation and/or development work
• Deep understanding of the global and flyway-scale conservation status and needs of migratory birds
• Proven track record of senior programme coordination and financial management
• Strong communication, negotiation and consensus building skills, and the ability to work with and influence key stakeholders and decision makers

We envisage that this person will be an integrated member of the Global Conservation Department, based in Cambridge, but would consider being flexible for the right candidate.

Salary:  £30,000- 40,000 pro rata dependent on experience.  Competitive pension benefits.
