Job title: Geoenvironmental / Geotechnical Engineer

Job Summary:

We are assisting a well-regarded multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a Consultant Engineer in to their Sheffield based ground engineering and remediation team.

If you have demonstrable experience in site and ground investigation, Phase 1 and Phase II surveying and reporting, earthworks & remediation in addition to a good knowledge of geotechnical aspects of ground investigation, then please get in touch today.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

As an Engineer, you will assist the project team with undertaking site and ground investigations, assessing both geoenvironmental and geotechnical aspects of the works.  You will have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects within the infrastructure development, mineral extraction, housing, industrial and renewables sectors. 

Responsibilities will include;

  • Undertaking Phase I and Phase II assessments
  • Geotechnical sampling, review of borehole and trial pit logs
  • Completing  Ground Investigations, encompassing both Geoenvironmental and geotechnical elements.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications / Experience:

The Engineer will have;

  • A strong academic background including a relevant degree, postgraduate degree desirable.
  • A proven track record of undertaking ground engineering works within a consultancy or contractor role.
  • Geotechnical expertise should include; slope stability, reinforced earth design, compaction and basic foundation design.
