Essex Wildlife Trust are the county’s leading conservation charity, committed to protecting wildlife and inspiring a lifelong love of nature; and we would love you to join our committed and enthusiastic team.

As a Food and Beverage Development Advisor you will be regularly visiting our 10 sites to ensure the food safety compliance of our catering offer. A key part of the role will be developing new menus with a focus on seasonality, locally sourced produce and vegetarian/vegan options. You will be working closely with centre teams and volunteers to grow our Food and Beverage margin and profit at each site. We want our visitors to have the best experience across all aspects of our sites so ensuring great service in our cafés is vital to our success. We are looking for an individual with significant catering experience who is both approachable and professional with a proven ability to work well in a team and positively influence the behaviour of others.

If you have management experience working in a commercial kitchen or café, have a Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification and would like to work at a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Company and feel you would fit in with our friendly, committed, passionate and professional organisation then we would love to hear from you. 

Location: Base location flexible but the role involves significant travel visiting sites throughout Essex.
