The Lower Yuba River Accord (Accord) is a comprehensive settlement and flow agreement to provide long-term sustainable water for agricultural and environmental needs. A monitoring plan has been developed to evaluate the effectiveness of Accord flows through 2016. Fisheries technicians will work under the direction of the project manager to implement the monitoring and evaluation plan, and will be primarily responsible for collecting biotic and abiotic data associated with the monitoring of lower Yuba River salmonid populations. Specific duties include, but are not limited to weekly implementation of adult salmonid spawning, escapement and juvenile habitat use surveys which will utilize a combination of hiking, cataraft, snorkeling and motorized vessel travel to collect field data.
