The 'Fishery Technician I- Tagging Trailer Assistant' is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and operation of a manual tagging trailer and/ or a mobile Autofish Tagging Trailer. Previous experience working in and operating fish tagging trailers and experience tagging fish in a hatchery setting is preferred, but not required.

Duties include:

-Assist in operating and maintaining a manual tagging trailer and/ or an Autofish mobile marking trailers, including setup and tear down at hatchery sites for the purpose of marking/ tagging hatchery fish
-Conduct marking/ tagging operations with manual tagging trailer and/ or an Autofish system
-Operate computers and software programs associated with mobile Autofish trailer
-Travel to hatcheries throughout Idaho will require extended overnight stays.
-Assist with maintenance of fish including feeding fish, cleaning tanks, establishing feeding schedules, assessing growth, and monitoring fish health.
-Collect samples of blood and tissues.
-Monitor and maintain facility systems, equipment, and water quality.
-Maintain records of data and perform routine analysis.

***This position requires a valid driver’s license and all offers of employment will be contingent upon passing a driving record check.
