Immerse yourself in practical fieldwork techniques covering a variety of qualitative and quantitative sampling strategies. Rusty on species frequency? Vague about line and belt transects? This one-day course will change all that. The programme is designed for those with little or no experience of sampling techniques to those who want to brush up this skill-set. Other topics covered may include:
* CMRR (Capture-mark-release-recapture) * density, frequency and precentage cover * random sampling using quadrats * freshwater invertebrate sampling * appropriate equipment and equipment limitations * abiotic and biotic measuring * which, and when, sampling strategy to deploy
This course starts from 09:45 to 15:30 using fieldwork sites in and around the Centre grounds. Course price includes pub lunch.
