Job title: Field Ecologist Assistant 

Location: London

Salary: £8.40 ph

Term: 3 month contract with possible extension

Summary:

We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual, to join the field team of a leading ecological consultancy.  If you are educated to degree level in an environmental related discipline and good experience of ecological survey and mitigation then we’d like to hear from you. 

As a field ecologist assistant you will be helping to carry out ecological surveys and mitigation for a variety of SE based projects.

Qualifications / Experience:

Successful applicants will have;
• A relevant first degree, Second degree desirable;
• Demonstrable experience of ecological survey and mitigation;
• Proven field work and report writing skills;
• Good native herpetofauna identification skills, with ability to identify to species, life stage and gender;
• Ability to identify habitats and indicator plant species;
• Willingness to travel around the SE and work during evenings and at weekends as projects require;
• A full UK driving licence.
Experience of working on a live construction project would be advantageous for this role.
