15th - 19th August residential course
This course aims to foster an understanding of the variation in plant communities of fen and bog habitats, and the eco-hydrological processes that have given rise to them. It will cover wetland plant identification, NVC sampling, measurement of basic environmental variables, and discussions about wetland management.
This course will suit those with a general interest in wetlands, and also professionals who want to broaden their understanding of wetland habitats. Field excursions will involve some strenuous walking across uneven ground.
