Faculty position in Quantitative Ecology - BangaloreGo Top

ATREE invites applications for a faculty position in the broad theme of "Biodiversity and Conservation". We are particularly looking for a Population or Ecosystems ecologist working on issues of global change (landuse, biodiversity, or climate change) and/or ecosystem services, with skills in modeling and computational biology (GIS, ecoinformatics, spatial modeling).

Qualifications: Candidates must be dynamic and highly motivated scholars, Ph.D. with one or more years of post-doctoral experience, with a strong track record of academically rigorous research in the areas indicated above. They could be trained in any branch of the natural sciences. Applicants must have a strong interest in applied research, working in multi-disciplinary teams, and teaching.

Responsibilities: Core faculty members will participate in long-term academic, policy and action oriented research programmes. They will participate in Ph. D. teaching, advising and short-term training programmes. Faculty members are also expected to share institutional responsibilities.

Appointments and Emoluments: Appointments will be at the level of Fellow (equivalent to Assistant Professor) or Senior Fellow (mid-level Associate Professor) depending upon candidate's experience. The positions are long-term, supported by endowments.
