If you are an experienced leader looking to develop your career in 2013 and beyond then don’t miss this unique opportunity with Bush Heritage, one of Australia’s leading conservation organisations.

A newly created opportunity has arisen for a person with excellent people skills and Natural Resource Management (NRM) experience to provide leadership in our northern activities, and work with partners, supporters and staff to achieve conservation outcomes.  Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Senior Leadership team, you will be responsible for driving performance across multiple areas of the business, covering NRM, ecology, philanthropy and community presence and partnerships.

Liaising with stakeholders will be an integral part of this senior level role, championing the organisation’s objectives and working with multiple partners to achieve outcomes. You will hold responsibility for strategic and business planning and implementing board decisions as well as team development and improving the conservation value of managed land.

The successful candidate will possess appropriate qualifications and a strong ability to lead people, as well as a background in planning and project execution.  Your superior ability in relationship building and influencing both internal and external stakeholders, including Indigenous and pastoral communities, will set you in good stead for this position.  Ideally you will have a proven track record achieving conservation benefits with a strong safety focus, you will possess a forward thinking ability and be highly comfortable with complexity.  The role requires regular travel to remote locations.
