BirdLife International is a global partnership of national conservation organisations with a large grassroots membership, and is present in more than 120 countries and territories worldwide. BirdLife works together as a partnership to conserve wild birds, their habitats and global diversity, by working with people towards sustainability in the use of natural resources. BirdLife’s unique local-to-global approach enables it to deliver high impact and long term conservation for the benefit of nature and people.

As the global authority on the status of bird species, BirdLife is currently leading a project to reassess the regional status of all European birds. To support this project and ensure it is completed on time and to a high standard, BirdLife seeks a European Research Assistant to help collate, verify and analyse data, solicit additional information from expert networks, and document the results. This will ensure that BirdLife’s European Species Programme continues to address the highest conservation priorities, whilst informing and supporting the European Partnership, the Global Species Programme, and the wider community.

This is an exciting opportunity to join BirdLife’s internationally renowned team, work closely with colleagues and experts across Europe, and help set the agenda for European bird conservation for the coming decade.
