We are seeking an Environmental Project Manager with natural or cultural resources project management and consulting experience for our Bismarck, North Dakota office. This is a regular, full-time, salaried position reporting to the Office Director. The selected candidate will help expand SWCA's professional reputation in environmental consulting by providing assistance on projects in his or her area of expertise. Salary will be based on individual qualifications and experience, but average between $42,000 to $52,000.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects within schedule and budget expectations; manage milestones, subcontractors, technical staff, fieldwork, and written deliverables. 
  • Maintain a collaborative work environment between SWCA staff, subcontractors, and clients.  
  • Coordinate and manage project and client needs.
  • Take initiative and problem-solve.
  • Assist Senior Project Managers as needed with scheduling field personnel and equipment.

 Required Experience

  • B.S./B.A. in environmental planning, science, archaeology, biology, or a related field and 2+ years of experience in environmental project management and/or planning.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, resource management programs, and policy tools.
  • Working knowledge of natural and/or cultural resources in the Rocky Mountains/Plains regions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to foster friendly, positive, productive, and scholarly team relationships.
  • Proven experience with high-level agency consultation.
