Responsibilities In support of Senior Project Manager(s), this position will require evaluating, and applying environmental techniques and field application to assist in developing work plans, implementing and overseeing field efforts, data analysis, remediation and reporting for a variety of environmental studies.
Under the direction of the project manager(s), performs detailed environmental analysis, work plans and reports for assigned projects.
Organize, draft and coordinate production of assigned sections of various reports, permits, and plans to ensure technical consistency and inclusion of appropriate documentation.
Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
Additional responsibilities for proposals, development of plans and data analysis for technical reports, responsibility as task leader and field team leader for field activities.
Performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related tasks.
Self-starter with the ability to utilize good reasoning skills in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Qualifications/Experience
BS in Geology, Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
Requires 3-6 years of experience performing all aspects of environmental investigations and remedial actions
Experience should be in environmental site investigation and cleanups; experience supervising excavation and/or drilling activities is a big plus
Successful candidate will enjoy a combination of office work and field activities
Current certifications for HAZWOPER require
Good organizational, technical, writing, communication and computer skills also required; GIS and/or CADD skills are highly desirable
Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and out of town for project assignments.
