The Environmental Manager position is a key role in the continued success of the NTU sustainability agenda.  The postholder will be responsible for all operational environmental management including the Environmental Management System which covers all university operations.  Core elements of the job include management of carbon, waste, transport, sustainable procurement, biodiversity sustainable construction and staff/student engagement.

The successful candidate will need to draw upon strong organisation and communication skills whilst working with numerous stakeholders at various levels, inside and outside the university.  They will be responsible for line management of a large team of direct reports.  The position is a vital role in the Estates department and is a member of the Estates Leadership Team.  University wide duties include liaising with academic sustainability projects and coordinating whole institution sustainability benchmark work.
